GOALS OF A TIBETAN COMMUNITY & CULTURAL CENTER

* Preservation and promotion of Tibetan language and culture

* Enable Tibetans, friends and supporters to come together for sharing interest and learning about all things Tibetan including language, culture and arts.

*Continue to run the Tibetan Language and Cultural Art School which teaches young tibetans the language, art, history and culture in order for them to develop a sound understanding of their Tibetan identity, so that they may become self-reliant and contributing members of the Tibetan Community and the world at large. The school also focuses on developing character and moral values, good manners, respect for elders, personal responsibility, and a positive and mindful attitude towards all sentient beings. 

* Tibetan community center basic requirements:

• An auditorium or Gymnasium like structure with possibly a performance stage, for 150-200 seating capacity.

• 2 Classrooms

• A Kitchen

• Restrooms

Funding is needed for a Tibetan Community Center Project in Southern California
